On July 17, 2021, the Mary Fulano Foundation (MFF) partnered with the Atlanta Zambian Women With Influence (AZWWI), in Atlanta Georgia to raise funds for scholarships for the Lukomba Initiative. President of the MFF, Ms. Midia Fulano elaborated on the Foundation’s commitment to empowering the girl child to help improve the quality of life of orphaned girls. The Foundation contributed $2,000 US dollars to help sponsor 20 girls at Lukomba Primary School in Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia for one full school year.

The Foundation believes that every child deserves an opportunity to complete primary and secondary school education regardless of their socio-economic status. “The world always celebrates a great woman, but to be great, the girl child needs to be encouraged to excel from an early age”.
